Wine of the week: 2008 La Fenetre A Cote Pinot Noir, Central Coast - This week, in the midst of Kitty getting ready to run for Roberts soon to be vacated senate seat, Holly selling her shares in Ojai, and Sarah's never simple relationships a glass of wine is a welcome friend. The 2008 Central Coast Pinot Noir from La Fenetre is definitely one to savor as you contemplate such issues with notes of red berry enveloped in a spice filled texture. Finishing with Cinnamon it becomes a treat perfect for a great week in Walkerland and a Valentine's Day surprise.

With Valentine's Day on the horizon, everyone wonders what they should give that special someone. At an art show, Justin tells Scotty that he's not sure what to get Rebecca. Sarah doesn't know what to get Roy either. They have different tastes, as evidenced by the fact that Roy can't see the beauty in a painting that Sarah loves. She may also love the artist because, believe it or not, it's Luc! He's back! Too bad Sarah's with Roy, right?

Holly comes clean to David about Dennis York's sleazy offer to spill all that he knows about Ojai if she slept with him. She didn't, so she's still in the dark. Nevertheless, Holly is still dealing her Ojai shares to York. She has been feeling a guilty about the impending sale, as she knows it'll hurt the Walkers.

Rebecca enlists Nora's help for Justin's Valentine's Day gift. She wants to make his favorite brownies using Nora's secret recipe. The baking lesson gets put on hold when Rebecca experiences some unbearable pain. She's taken to the hospital where we discover the sad news that she's lost the baby. As Justin tries to console a distant Rebecca, Nora and Holly have a heart-to-heart in the hospital waiting area. Holly is still feeling guilty about jumping ship at Ojai, so when Nora says she's family, it's like a punch in the gut.

The news that Holly sold her shares breaks. Nora suggests they put a stop to this situation by putting up "a big brick wall called the Walker family." She heads off to confront Holly about all that she's done. Nora makes a big speech about how it took her such a long time to swallow her fury and ultimately accept Holly into her life.

Nora downshifts from furious to flabbergasted once Holly reveals that she stopped the sale. Holly says, "This afternoon, in the hospital, when you said that I was family, I realized that no money was worth losing that." Nora is rightfully exhausted with all this back and forth. Holly tells her that William's old business partner, Dennis York, was behind the deal. Nora pauses before saying, "Well, that changes everything."

Kitty hires the annoyingly aggressive Buffy as her campaign manager. Robert doesn't like her, but he has bigger problems at the moment. The man he believes tried to steal his wife just walked into his office. Remember Alec Tyler? Well, someone contacted him asking questions about his relationship with Kitty. Robert doesn't like Alec, but he needs his help to find out who this person is. The mystery is solved when Buffy walks through Alec's front door. She was just doing her job by digging up any possible dirt. Told ya she was aggressive. And annoying.

Justin was planning to give a Sesame Street-themed card to Rebecca for Valentine's Day. Kitty offers to hold onto it for him, as he may need it again someday. Justin hits a bunch of different restaurants to gather up all of Rebecca's favorite dishes. She's back at home trying to make those brownies he loves. When Justin offers to help, Rebecca insists on doing it herself. She says, "I've been planning this for a long time and, right now, I just, I really need something to work out the way that I planned." She's obviously in a lot of pain.

Roy ends up buying Luc's painting to give to Sarah for Valentine's Day. Neither of them realizes that the artist is Sarah's dreamy French ex. And Sarah still doesn't know Luc is back in town. All she does know is that Roy is a nice guy who, admittedly, has been trying to force something that isn't there. They mutually agree that they'd be better off as friends. But Roy insists that Sarah keep the painting.

Sarah loves the painting, but knows it was expensive. She heads down to the art gallery to have the owner transfer the cost of the painting onto her credit card. Take one good guess at who is still hanging around the gallery. Oui! It's Luc. Sarah is stunned to see him. She says his painting reminded her of something she'd lost. We're wondering if she's still feeling that way after Luc kisses her passionately. Looks like Sarah got exactly what she wanted for Valentine's Day. This all works for us, too.
