Jack was hoping that Liz would take the time to bond with Phoebe, his new fiancée. Liz brought along Jenna to their girls' day lunch and both were finding it hard to find things in common with the quiet Phoebe.

Tracy was still looking for financial backing for his movie on Thomas Jefferson. Meanwhile, Frank pointed out that in a recent magazine article where Bill Cosby didn't have too kind of words for Tracy. In one quote he called Tracy 'an embarrassment to African-Americans.' Tracy accused "The Black Crusaders" of destroying him.

Floyd didn't get his much hyped promotion at NBC and was considering moving out of New York City. He told Liz he was thinking of going back to Cleveland. Liz thought about the trip and thought about life outside New York. Just then, a bum spit in her mouth. She was sold! She was heading to Cleveland.

While Jack was asleep in his office, his assistant sent Liz on a mission. He wanted her to spy on Phoebe because he believed she was seeing somebody else. Sure enough, Liz spotted Phoebe enjoying an intimate dinner with an older gentleman.

Once on vacation, Liz was shocked with how friendly the great city of Cleveland was. At dinner, Floyd told Liz he was actually thinking about accepting a new job and moving back to Cleveland. He wanted Liz to move to Cleveland with him.

Phoebe wanted to make it clear to Liz that the man she was out to dinner with was a former lover and nothing more. Phoebe stated that she made Jack happy and that was all that should matter. Liz tried to warn Jack, but it was too late, he just thought Liz was acting out of jealousy.

Tracy was living in fear of The Black Crusaders who he thought were out to ruin his career. He went into hiding back in the great city of Cleveland. He told Liz that he was starting a new life. But it was too late, The Black Crusaders had followed him.

Liz told Floyd that she couldn't up and move her life to Cleveland. Floyd completely understood, but still had to break the news to her that he accepted the job and was moving there anyway.
