AceShowbiz - Actress Mena Suvari will spend her honeymoon traveling around Italy with new husband Simone Sestito after the couple exchanged vows in Vatican City at the weekend. The "American Beauty" star wed the music producer in an intimate ceremony at the eighth century Santo Stefano degli Abissini church on Saturday, June 26.

Suvari admits the ceremony was "very traditional and romantic" and their reception was held in the Bracciano castle which hosted the Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' nuptials in 2006. Suvari and Sestito are currently enjoying their first few days as man and wife with friends and family in Rome.

The newlyweds tell People.com, "(Rome) is the true city of romance, and to be able to wed in the Eternal City is all we could have asked for this occasion." Suvari reveals they will soon depart for their honeymoon, but they won't be leaving Italy - they plan on embarking on a road trip around the country instead.
