AceShowbiz - I Play Rocky has officially made its World Premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, with director Peter Farrelly leading the cast down the red carpet in Toronto.

Farrelly was joined at the premiere by stars Anthony Ippolito, Stephan James, Jay Duplass, Kiki Seto and PJ Byrne, among other members of the filmmaking team. The event marked the first public unveiling of the film, which is presented by Amazon MGM Studios.

The film tells the true story of an unknown actor with an unshakable belief that he was not just meant to write Rocky but was meant to be Rocky Balboa. Told "no" at every turn, Sylvester Stallone bets everything on himself, holding the line on playing the lead against seemingly impossible odds. The result is described as the ultimate underdog story behind the ultimate underdog movie.

Ippolito leads the cast, which also includes AnnaSophia Robb, Toby Kebbell, Byrne, Duplass and Seto, featuring Matt Dillon with James and Tracy Letts.

Behind the camera, Farrelly directs from a screenplay written by Peter Gamble. The film is produced by Toby Emmerich, p.g.a., Christian Baha, p.g.a., Farrelly, p.g.a., Paul Currie and Michele Weiss.

I Play Rocky opens in select theaters on November 6 and in theaters everywhere in November.
