Its cast was led by William Shatner as Captain James T. Kirk, Leonard Nimoy as Spock, and DeForest Kelley as Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy. The bridge crew also included James Doohan as Montgomery Scott, Nichelle Nichols as Uhura, George Takei as Hikaru Sulu, and Walter Koenig as Pavel Chekov.

The episodes in the collection were directed by Marc Daniels, Robert Butler, Joseph Pevney, Ralph Senensky, and Vincent McEveety. The release is distributed by Paramount Pictures.
