AceShowbiz - MrBeast and his production company, Beast Industries, are confronting a federal lawsuit alleging sexual harassment and workplace retaliation by a former employee.
The suit, filed by Lorrayne Mavromatis in a North Carolina federal court, includes serious accusations against the company’s former CEO, James Warren, and involves disturbing claims about MrBeast’s behavior in workplace bathrooms. The company has vehemently denied these allegations, calling them fabricated and offensive.
According to the complaint, Warren allegedly told Mavromatis that MrBeast becomes uneasy around attractive women and implied that the YouTube star engages in explicit self-pleasuring behaviors in their presence. Beast Industries responded swiftly, labeling the claims as "ridiculous" and "disgusting," and accused the plaintiff of exploiting MrBeast’s publicly known medical conditions, including his eye issues and Crohn’s disease, for sensational headlines.
Mavromatis, who worked with Beast Industries from 2002 to 2025, alleges a hostile work environment characterized by gender discrimination. She claims she was regularly excluded from male-dominated meetings, demeaned publicly, and pressured to work during her maternity leave, which she says violated her Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) rights. The lawsuit also states that other female employees endured similar treatment.
The complaint demands unspecified damages and suggests that the hostile workplace culture is systemic within the company. Mavromatis further alleges that after raising concerns about the work environment, she was demoted to a social media manager role in the merchandise department during her final tenure at Beast Industries.
Beast Industries strongly rejects all allegations. The company issued a statement asserting the lawsuit is filled with "deliberate misrepresentations and categorically false statements." They claim to have extensive evidence, including Slack and WhatsApp messages, company records, and witness accounts, that refute Mavromatis’s claims.
Additionally, Beast Industries presented a screenshot showing that Mavromatis had signed the employee handbook outlining FMLA and parental leave policies. They also contend she voluntarily requested to work during her maternity leave, contradicting her claims of pressure.
The company described the lawsuit as an opportunistic attempt to extract a financial settlement, stating they will not "submit to opportunistic lawyers looking to manufacture a payday from us."
This case is not the first legal challenge concerning workplace conduct for MrBeast’s enterprises. Beast Industries is also defending a class action lawsuit filed by contestants of the Amazon Prime Video series Beast Games, who allege unsafe conditions and sexual harassment during the show's production.
As this lawsuit moves forward, both sides are preparing to present their evidence in court, with significant implications for the workplace culture and reputation of MrBeast’s growing media empire.
