AceShowbiz - Kodak Black quickly took to Instagram after learning that Jammiah Catera Broomfield, the mother of his son King Khalid, had been arrested on multiple charges. The rapper was firm in defending his role as a father, sharing evidence of his ongoing financial support amidst the difficult situation.
According to WPLG Local 10 News, the 28-year-old Broomfield was arrested in Fort Lauderdale on Tuesday, April 14, and booked into the Paul Rein Detention Facility. The charges against her include methamphetamine trafficking, driving with a suspended or revoked license, probation violation, and resisting an officer without violence. This arrest came while she was out on bond awaiting trial for a grand theft charge.
The police report detailed how Broomfield’s vehicle was recognized as one that had previously evaded officers. During the incident, she reportedly drove erratically in an attempt to flee law enforcement, eventually abandoning her car and fleeing on foot before being apprehended. She remains in custody with an additional hold from Palm Beach County.
In response, Kodak Black posted a message on his Instagram Story to address the situation and clarify his commitment as a father. He wrote, “SMH FREE MY BM AGAIN. I POSTED THAT SCREENSHOT OF THE RANDOM 'EXTRA' MONEY I JUST SENT THEY ASS 'ONLY' TO THINK AHEAD OF THE TROLLING SHE GET. SIMPLY DUE TO ME BEING A GREAT FATHER AND ALWAYS SETTING THE EXAMPLE REGARDLESS IF ITS INTIMACY OR NOT !!! EVEN WHEN MY BM'zz HATE ME REAL BAD I STEP. ON CHILD SUPPORT AND ALL NEVER COMPLAINED OR UNDERVALUED BY FAM. BUT AGAIN THE THANKS IS NEVER AS LOUD AS THE DISRESPECT.”
To back up his claims, Kodak Black shared screenshots showing he had sent $10,000 to Broomfield, $15,000 to Daijanae Ward (the mother of his daughter Princess Isabella Ann), and $20,000 to Shanice. These payments demonstrate his financial involvement despite the ongoing personal and legal challenges.
Kodak Black is a father to five children with four different women. Besides King Khalid and Princess Isabella Ann, his children include Queen Yuri and Prince with Maranda Johnson, as well as Prince Vulture Octave Kapri. His Instagram post also featured photos of his children and one of the mothers, underscoring his dedication to maintaining family ties amid the controversy.
The Florida rapper has previously been vocal about taking responsibility for his children, and this recent episode shows he remains steadfast in defending his parenting role. Broomfield’s arrest adds complexity to Kodak Black’s family dynamics during an already challenging time.
As this legal matter unfolds, it places additional pressure on the relationships between Kodak Black, his children, and their mothers, highlighting the difficulties of navigating family and legal issues in the public eye.
