AceShowbiz - Pizza Movie is set to debut on Hulu on April 3, marking the streaming premiere of the college comedy starring Gaten Matarazzo in his first lead role after Stranger Things.

Written and directed by the comedy duo Brian McElhaney and Nick Kocher, also known as BriTANicK, the film had its world premiere at SXSW in March before becoming available on Hulu. It will also stream on Disney+ internationally and for bundle subscribers in the U.S.

The story follows a reserved college student and his impulsive roommate who head out on what seems like a simple mission to get pizza. However, after taking an experimental drug with mind-altering effects, they experience a wild night filled with bizarre encounters, intense hallucinations, and surprising discoveries that may change their lives forever.

Alongside Matarazzo, the ensemble cast features Sean Giambrone, Lulu Wilson, Jack Martin, Peyton Elizabeth Lee, Marcus Scribner, Caleb Hearon, Sarah Sherman, Justin Cooley, Kevin Matthew Reyes, Adam Herschman, and Lucas Zelnick.

The production was led by Jeremy Garelick and Will Phelps of American High, with Billy Rosenberg from All Things Comedy, Jason Zaro, Molle DeBartolo, and Max Butler also producing. Matarazzo serves as an executive producer on the project.

The film promises a unique blend of comedy and surrealism as it explores friendship and self-discovery through the lens of a chaotic college night. A first-look image from the film has been released, giving audiences an early glimpse of the comedic tone and cast chemistry.

BriTANicK’s Pizza Movie is poised to offer fans of the genre a fresh, entertaining experience when it arrives on Hulu and Disney+ later this spring.
