AceShowbiz - The artist known as Ye made a striking return to the U.S. stage with two concerts at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on April 1 and April 3, 2026, generating a remarkable $33 million in ticket sales, according to a Bloomberg report published on April 5.
The initial show alone brought in $18 million, positioning it among the highest-grossing live performances ever. Both concerts showcased Ye performing his hit songs atop a massive half-globe stage, with surprise appearances from prominent artists including Travis Scott, Lauryn Hill, Don Toliver, and Ye's daughter, North.
Ye's U.S. comeback has been met with enthusiasm; however, his planned headlining slots at the 2026 Wireless Festival in the United Kingdom have been blocked after local authorities denied him entry into the country. This decision led to the cancellation of the entire festival.
A spokesperson for Wireless Festival released a statement to XXL addressing the cancellation. It noted that “multiple stakeholders were consulted before booking Ye and no concerns were initially raised.” The statement continued, emphasizing that “antisemitism in all its forms is abhorrent” and recognized the significant impact these issues have caused. The festival acknowledged Ye's expressed desire to start a dialogue with the Jewish community in the UK, stating, “As Ye said today, he acknowledges that words alone are not enough, and in spite of this still hopes to be given the opportunity to begin a conversation.”
Prior to the cancellation, major sponsors such as Pepsi and Diageo reportedly threatened to withdraw their support if Ye performed at the festival, influencing the final outcome.
Despite setbacks abroad, Ye's highly lucrative shows in Los Angeles underscore a significant moment in his live performance career, attracting considerable attention and demonstrating strong fan demand in the United States.
