AceShowbiz - Dexter: Resurrection has officially cast Emmy winner Brian Cox as the New York Ripper in its upcoming second season on Paramount+. The show revealed that although the New York Ripper is "no longer active as a killer," he has found a new way to maintain his dark notoriety by continuing to taunt survivors of his past crimes.
Brian Cox is widely recognized for his Golden Globe-winning portrayal of Logan Roy in HBO’s acclaimed series "Succession," which concluded its four-season run in 2023. He also earned an Emmy Award in 2001 for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or Movie for his role as Hermann Wilhelm Goering in TNT’s "Nuremberg."
The first season of Dexter: Resurrection is currently available to stream on Paramount+ with a premium subscription. However, the premiere date for Season 2 has not yet been announced.
In other casting developments, Dennis Quaid is set to headline AMC’s new NASCAR drama Thunder Road.
