Canneseries honors Jisoo, Adam Scott & Richard Gadd. See stars receive top awards and catch Gadd's new HBO series premiere.

AceShowbiz - The international television festival Canneseries will pay tribute to prominent figures in the entertainment industry, spotlighting the talents of Jisoo, Adam Scott, and Richard Gadd.
Jisoo, the K-Pop superstar and actress, will be honored with the prestigious Madame Figaro Rising Star Award, recognizing her rising influence and impact in the entertainment world. Meanwhile, Richard Gadd, creator of the acclaimed series Baby Reindeer, will receive the Prix Konbini de L'Engagement award, acknowledging his dedication and contribution to meaningful storytelling. Rounding out the honorees, Adam Scott, known for his role in Severance, will be presented with the Canal+ Icon award, celebrating his distinguished career and status within television.
Gadd’s newest project, Half-Man, a follow-up to Baby Reindeer, is set to premiere on HBO and will be screened out of competition at Canneseries. The high-profile out-of-competition lineup also features notable series such as AppleTV+’s Soviet-era sci-fi drama Star City, AMC’s horror anthology The Terror, and BBC’s drama California Avenue starring Bill Nighy and Helena Bonham Carter. Additional selections include Canal+’s period procedural Paris Police 1910 and Sky’s Prisoner featuring Tahar Rahim.
Looking ahead to the competition lineup, Canneseries will showcase a diverse slate of international productions. Highlights include the British relationship dramedy Alice and Steve, starring Jemaine Clement and Nicola Walker as unlikely friends; the Finnish/Slovenian psychological drama Guts; the Danish series Harvest, described as a Succession-style family farm drama; and the Spanish coming-of-age dramedy I Always Sometimes.
Other competing titles include the Danish real-life crime drama Snake Killer, the Swedish period series Summer of 1985, the Spanish comedy thriller Many People Need to Die, and the Iranian drama The Red and the Black by Ida Panahandeh and Arsalan Amiri.
The competition jury will be chaired by Spanish director Isabel Coixet, alongside director Lesli Linka Glatter, actors Simon Astier, Vincent Elbaz, Mamadou Sidibé, and composer Ruth Barrett.
The Canneseries industry section will host keynotes and panel discussions featuring industry leaders such as David Bernad, producer of The White Lotus, and creators Hagai Levi and Tawfik Abu Wael of Our Boys. Panels will address topics including K-Drama trends, artificial intelligence in content creation, and vertical series designed for mobile viewing.
The upcoming edition of Canneseries will continue its tradition of celebrating outstanding television content and talent across the globe.
