AceShowbiz - Zendaya recently shared that numerous people in her personal circle were deceived by AI-generated images claiming to show her wedding with Tom Holland. The viral photos sparked confusion as some acquaintances believed the event was real and even expressed frustration about not being invited.
During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the star of Dune discussed the phenomenon after host Jimmy Kimmel mentioned how the internet reacted wildly to the images, describing them as "very realistic." Zendaya admitted, "Many people have been fooled by them." She explained that while she was going about her daily life, people approached her praising the wedding photos, to which she had to clarify, "Babe, they're AI."
Kimmel then asked if friends or family were upset about not receiving invites to a wedding that never took place, and Zendaya confirmed this was indeed the case. The images were created by digital artist Juan Regueira Rodríguez and posted online on March 3. They quickly went viral, amassing 12 million likes and 17,000 comments.
In the same interview, Zendaya expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming Spider-Man movie, Brand New Day, set to release on July 31, where she stars alongside Tom Holland. She described the film as a significant chapter in their journey, emphasizing the privilege of continuing the franchise and noting how much Tom cares about honoring his role.
