AceShowbiz - Sean "Diddy" Combs is set to be released from prison sooner than initially anticipated, according to recently updated Federal Bureau of Prisons records seen by E! News. The rapper and music mogul, who is serving a 50-month sentence related to prostitution charges, now has a scheduled release date of April 25, 2028.
Originally, Diddy's release was scheduled for May 8, 2028, following his sentencing last year. However, this date was later postponed by nearly a month to June 4, 2028 before the most recent revision moved it up again to late April.
The 56-year-old is currently incarcerated at Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution, a low-security prison located in New Jersey. He was transferred there in late October from the Metropolitan Detention Center in New York.
During Diddy's initial week at Fort Dix, rumors circulated that he had consumed homemade alcohol while in custody. These claims were strongly denied by his spokesperson, who emphasized that Combs had not broken any prison rules. The representative stated to People in November, "His sobriety and self-discipline are priorities, and he is taking them seriously."
The spokesperson further requested privacy for Diddy, saying, "We ask the public and the press to give him the benefit of the doubt, the privacy to focus on his personal growth, and the grace to move forward in peace."
Later that month, Combs was photographed inside the prison for the first time. TMZ published images showing the Bad Boy Records founder wearing a gray pullover and matching sweatpants, his graying hair and goatee clearly visible. In the photos, he appeared to smile as he walked down a prison corridor, seemingly engaging with a fellow inmate who was just out of frame.
Page Six was the first to report the update on Combs' release date.
