AceShowbiz - Livvy Dunne is set to join the upcoming Fox reboot of the iconic lifeguard drama Baywatch in a recurring role. She will play Grace, an enthusiastic junior lifeguard, marking her professional acting debut.
The former Louisiana State University gymnast, who retired from competitive gymnastics in April 2025, has been preparing for a career in film and television by taking acting lessons. With a social media following of approximately 13 million, Livvy Dunne is part of a new wave of influencers cast in the series.
Baywatch’s revamped lineup also features series regulars Noah Beck, Shay Mitchell, and Brooks Nader. Leading the cast is Stephen Amell as Hobie Buchannon, who takes on the role of Baywatch Captain, continuing the legacy of his father, Mitch Buchannon.
The story centers on Hobie’s life being upended when his daughter Charlie, played by Jessica Belkin, arrives eager to uphold the Buchannon family tradition. The ensemble cast includes Hassie Harrison, Thaddeus LaGrone, and David Chokachi, who returns as the original character Cody Madison.
Scheduled to premiere on Fox during the 2026-2027 television season, the reboot is co-produced by Fox Entertainment and Fremantle. Matt Nix serves as showrunner and executive producer, alongside a team including director McG, Michael Berk, Greg Bonann, Doug Schwartz, Dante Di Loreto, and Mike Horowitz. Fox Entertainment Global holds all domestic rights, while Fremantle manages international sales.
