Taylor Sheridan writes all 8 episodes of the 'Tulsa King' spin-off starring Samuel L. Jackson. Premiering on Paramount+.

AceShowbiz - Paramount+ has confirmed that Frisco King, the upcoming spin-off from Tulsa King, will be written entirely by its creator, Taylor Sheridan. The streamer announced Sheridan will write all eight episodes of the first season.

Matt Thunell, president of Paramount Television Studios, said in a statement, "Having him pen all episodes of the season with his singular voice will be a treat for fans of 'Tulsa King' and audiences around the world."

The series, which was previously titled "NOLA King" and has shifted its setting from New Orleans to Texas, will star Samuel L. Jackson. He will reprise his role as Russell Lee Washington Jr., a character first introduced in Tulsa King Season 3. Production is scheduled to begin in late March in Fort Worth, Texas.

Sheridan and Jackson will executive produce the series alongside Sylvester Stallone, who stars in the original series. While Tulsa King has been renewed for a fourth season, no premiere dates have been set for either its return or the debut of Frisco King.

Sheridan's other current and upcoming television projects include Mayor of Kingstown, Lioness, Landman, and the Yellowstone spin-off Marshals.
