AceShowbiz - Massive Attack have unveiled their highly anticipated European tour for summer 2026, announcing five carefully selected dates across major venues in the region.
The Bristol trip-hop pioneers shared the exciting news on Tuesday, February 24, using social media to reveal their upcoming European performances. The tour announcement marks a significant moment for fans who have been eagerly awaiting new live dates from the influential group.
The European trek will commence on May 27 with an opening performance at Helsinki's Veikkaus Arena, followed by a show at the distinctive Dalhalla venue in Rättvik on May 30. The tour continues into June with three additional performances across prominent European cities.
June dates include stops at Copenhagen's Royal Arena on June 1, Berlin's Zitadelle on June 7, and Brussels' Forest National on June 8. These venues represent some of Europe's most respected concert halls, promising intimate yet powerful performances from the legendary act.
Ticket availability begins Wednesday, February 25, with pre-sales launching at 9am GMT. Fans can access tickets through the official channels, while Massive Attack's WhatsApp channel offers additional updates and information about the upcoming shows.
Beyond touring news, Massive Attack continues making headlines with various projects. Fontaines D.C. frontman Grian Chatten will be covering some of the group's tracks for the upcoming Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man film soundtrack, bringing their music to new audiences through cinema.
The band has also revealed plans to release a "cache" of music "created in the recent past" this year, though notably not through Spotify. This decision stems from their ongoing dispute with the streaming platform following reports about CEO Daniel Ek's €600million investment in Helsing, a Munich-based company developing military drones and artificial intelligence.
Massive Attack hasn't released new material since their 2020 EP 'Eutopia', with their last full-length album being 2010's 'Heligoland'. However, Robert Del Naja confirmed in a 2024 NME interview that they have "some new music which we've been sitting on for four years", with plans to release some content in 2026.
The group remains politically active, recently joining over 400 artists in supporting the No Music For Genocide campaign alongside Fontaines D.C. and Amyl & The Sniffers. They've also collaborated with Primal Scream in criticizing government actions regarding Palestine Action demonstrations in London.
