AceShowbiz - Xavi and Grupo Frontera have achieved a remarkable milestone with their collaboration on “No Capea,” which has ascended from No. 5 to No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart, as of the February 7 issue. This marks the first partnership between Xavi and Grupo Frontera, granting Xavi his third No. 1 hit and providing Frontera with its fifth chart-topping single.
The track has made significant strides in the overall Latin radio ratings, experiencing a 40% increase in audience impressions, reaching 9.8 million listeners in the United States during the tracking week of January 23-29, as reported by Luminate.
Before claiming the top spot, “No Capea” spent a total of 10 nonconsecutive weeks within the top 10, fluctuating in and out of this range multiple times throughout its 18-week journey to the pinnacle. The single was previously positioned at 31-7-14 in November, but re-entered the top 10 the following week (No. 9 on the November 8 chart). After maintaining a presence in the top 10 for seven consecutive weeks starting December 20, it faced a slight dip, moving 8-21-25-23-19, before rebounding to No. 8 in the January 24 chart.
Xavi's latest triumph on Latin Airplay follows his previous No. 1 collaboration “En Privado” with Manuel Turizo, which peaked for one week in June 2025. On the other hand, Grupo Frontera continues to solidify its status, with its latest success following “Me Jalo,” a collaboration with Fuerza Regida that topped the charts in April 2025.
In addition to its success on the Latin Airplay chart, Grupo Frontera is currently dominating the Regional Mexican Airplay chart, holding both the No. 1 and No. 2 positions. Their single “Monterrey” remains at No. 1 for a second consecutive week, although it experienced an 8% decline in audience impressions (totaling 7.2 million) during the tracking period. Meanwhile, “No Capea” with Xavi is gaining traction, moving from No. 4 to No. 2 after a 36% increase in audience, reaching 6.8 million listeners across regional Mexican stations in the U.S.
Frontera has achieved this impressive feat just two months after previously holding the top two positions on the Regional Mexican Airplay chart. On the November 22, 2025-dated chart, the group claimed its first week at the summit with “No Capea,” alongside “Modo Difícil,” which moved from 4-2, featuring Grupo Firme.
Thanks to its remarkable radio performance, “No Capea” has been awarded the Greatest Gainer honor for airplay on the Hot Latin Songs chart, which is given weekly to the song that exhibits the most significant growth in audience impressions. In this chart, the song rose from No. 17 to No. 11, showcasing its growing popularity.
