AceShowbiz - Wolf Alice has been officially announced as one of the performers at the highly anticipated 2026 BRIT Awards, scheduled for next month.
The prestigious ceremony will take place at Co-op Live in Manchester on Saturday, February 28. This marks a historic moment as it is the first time the event will be held in Manchester during its nearly 50-year history.
Earlier this month, singer-songwriter Olivia Dean was revealed as the first performer, followed by an announcement on January 28 that Harry Styles will also take the stage. The former One Direction member returns to the BRITs stage three years after his last performance, just as he prepares to release his new album, Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally, featuring the lead single Aperture.
In addition to their performance, Wolf Alice is nominated for three awards this year: Group of the Year, Alternative/Rock Act, and Mastercard Album of the Year for their critically acclaimed fourth album, The Clearing.
This announcement follows their remarkable set at Glastonbury last summer, where they captivated audiences with their energetic performance. The band is also gearing up for a major outdoor concert at Finsbury Park in London, where they will share the stage with artists like The Last Dinner Party, Lykke Li, Rachel Chinouriri, Keo, and Florence Road.
“We’re truly honoured to get the opportunity to play this year’s BRIT Awards,” said bassist Theo Ellis. “Can’t wait to see what everyone’s wearing, can’t wait to see who else is playing, can’t wait to have 10 mini wines (after we play). Most of all can’t wait for a big night out in Manny. Make sure to tune in and watch it all live on the telly.”
Fans are eagerly anticipating the band's debut performance at the BRIT Awards, with the event set to be broadcast live on ITV1 and ITVX in the UK, as well as on YouTube globally.
Returning to host the event for a sixth consecutive time is comedian Jack Whitehall, who has become a familiar face at the BRITs. This year’s trophy design, created by Matthew Williamson, was also unveiled, adding a touch of glamour to the ceremony.
Among the nominees, Jacob Alon has been recognized as the winner of the 2026 BRITs Critics’ Choice Award. Other notable nominees include Olivia Dean, former NME cover star Lola Young, Sam Fender, Lily Allen, and the Lewisham rapper Jim Legxacy.
