Former President Barack Obama stepped out with his daughters Malia and Sasha in Los Angeles while Michelle Obama was no-show, fuelling the ongoing divorce rumors.

AceShowbiz - Former President Barack Obama was spotted enjoying some quality family time with his daughters, Malia and Sasha, in Los Angeles on Friday, April 25. The trio were spotted dining at Hamasaku, a sushi restaurant in West Los Angeles.

Barack Obama, looking effortlessly stylish in a black jacket, black shirt, and dark grey trousers, was without his wife, Michelle Obama. Despite her absence, he was seen wearing his wedding ring. Michelle also flaunted her engagement and wedding rings while out in Los Angeles on April 17.

The absence of Michelle, 61, has fueled ongoing speculations about the couple's marriage although Michelle previously dismiss any rumors of a rift between them.

In a recent episode of Sophia Bush's "Work In Progress" podcast, Michelle explained that her decision to step back from public life was purely personal. "The interesting thing is that when I say 'no,' for the most part, people are like, 'I get it,' and I'm OK," she shared.

She further noted, "And that's the thing that we as women struggle with - disappointing people. So much so that people, they couldn't even fathom that I was making a choice for myself, that they had to assume that my husband and I are divorcing."

The speculations escalated after Michelle skipped several high-profile events, including former President Jimmy Carter's funeral and President Donald Trump's inauguration.

Adding to the fire, Michelle was recently slammed by Megyn Kelly for her comments about husband Barack Obama. "Every time she opines, it's something that reflects poorly on him," Megyn said.

Michelle's detachment from the spotlight after years of public service seems to be a well-earned break rather than a sign of marriage troubles. "People have a hard time accepting a grown woman just making a set of decisions for herself," Michelle added during the podcast.

The couple, who met in 1989 and married three years later, were recently spotted enjoying a date night in Washington, DC.

Michelle has also been busy lately with her new venture - a podcast she hosted with her brother Craig Robinson.
