Hollywood heartthrob Channing Tatum has declared he will no longer undergo extreme body transformations for films after difficult experience from his previous role.

AceShowbiz - Channing Tatum, the 44-year-old actor celebrated for his roles in "Magic Mike" and "21 Jump Street," revealed the one role he won't be playing again in his career.

"I won't be doing any more fat roles," he boldly stated, adding, "It's too hard on the body and too hard to take off now. But damn when I look at these pics, it's just wild what the human body and will can do."

Tatum shared images of himself at various weights over his career, showcasing the dramatic changes he underwent for different roles.

One image displayed Tatum at a solid 205 pounds. Another was a black-and-white mirror selfie from his role as Damien in the upcoming thriller-drama "Josephine," where he had to bulk up to 235 pounds.

The most extreme transformation was for the true crime film "Roofman," shot in late 2024, requiring him to cut down to a mere 175 pounds.

The transformations haven't been easy. "I'm so grateful for my genetics," Tatum expressed, "Grateful for my chef/nutritionist/witch. Grateful for my trainer. I couldn't make these big swings in my weight without you guys."

Known for his ripped physique, Tatum used to work as a stripper before he became famous. He first gained attention as a dancer in Ricky Martin's "She Bangs" music video before transitioning into the big screen in "Step Up", which led to an off-screen romance with co-star Jenna Dewan, resulting in a marriage, a daughter, and ultimately, a divorce in 2024.

Tatum is not alone in highlighting the toll such physical transformations can take on an actor. Oscar-winner Adrien Brody, who lost 30 pounds for the 2002 Holocaust drama "The Pianist," previously warned about the psychological impact, recounting how the near-starvation diet gave him PTSD.

He told New York Magazine, "That was a physical transformation that was necessary for storytelling. But then that kind of opened me up, spiritually, to a depth of understanding of emptiness and hunger in a way that I didn't know, ever."

Currently, Tatum is romantically linked to 25-year-old Australian model Inka Williams.
