With her fiance Benny Blanco by her side, Selena Gomez is set to unveil a collaborative album, marking her return to the music scene with a deeply personal and organic creative process.

AceShowbiz - Pop sensation Selena Gomez is ready to make her grand return to the music scene with the release of her new collaborative album "I Said I Love You First". Slated for a March 21 release, the project has been a journey of self-discovery and artistic reinvention for the beloved singer.

In a new interview, Gomez lifted the lid on her creative journey. After her last full-length album, "Rare", in 2020 and an EP titled "Revelacion" in 2021, she had found herself at a crossroads, unsure of her next musical direction.

However, a guiding light came in the form of Benny Blanco, her fiance. Known for his prowess as a producer, Blanco played a pivotal role in helping Gomez reconnect with her musical roots.

Speaking to Rolling Stone, Gomez, 32, shared, "I couldn't figure out my sound. And we had been together for a while, and obviously I would confide in him... It helps that he knows a little bit about music, and it kind of happened organically to where I felt like this process was unlike any other process I'd ever been through."

The couple, who became engaged in December 2024, collaborated closely on this project. They chose to keep the creative circle tight, involving only close friends in the process.

Blanco, 37, recalled their creative method, "We'd go into the other room and create it, and it became a song. It was such a cathartic and therapeutic experience."

Fans have already had a taste of Gomez's evolving sound through singles like "Sunset Blvd," "Scared of Loving You," and "Call Me When You Break Up" featuring Gracie Abrams, all of which are part of the new album.

Each track on the album holds significant meaning to both Gomez and Blanco, combining their personal stories in a way that resonates deeply with them. Describing the album title, Gomez said, "It's just factual. It just is actually what went down, and it describes us."

Gomez couldn't hide her excitement about the album, saying with a smile, "Guilty as charged. I said 'I love you' first." The album promises to be a blend of heartfelt narratives and fresh musical landscapes, setting the stage for Gomez's next big chapter in music.

Don't miss out on this emotional and musically rich journey. "I Said I Loved You First" will be available everywhere from Friday, March 21.
