AceShowbiz - Country music star Wade Bowen experienced a frightening moment last week when his tour bus was involved in a severe collision. The incident occurred as Bowen, 48, and his crew were leaving Austin, Texas, en route to their next show in Lubbock.
FOllowing the harrowing crash, Bowen assured fans on his Instagram on March 10 that everyone onboard was unharmed, expressing gratitude for the quick response and support they received.
"As we left Austin Friday night our bus was hit by another car. Thankfully we are all okay," Bowen wrote.
He shared several images depicting the extensive damage to the tour bus, including a smashed bumper and partially torn-off metal panel, revealing the inner workings of the vehicle. Emergency services were also seen at the scene, working diligently to manage the aftermath of the crash.
Bowen praised his team for their resilience in facing the unexpected setback. "I'm so blessed to have the band and crew I do. Everyone came together and figured out how to make it to our next show in Lubbock and pull off a magical night," he continued.
The singer gave a special shoutout to Lubbock, Texas, for providing the necessary gear and instruments to ensure the show went on without further hitches.
Although shaken by the crash, Bowen shared that the concert in Lubbock turned into one of his "favorite shows ever," emphasizing the significance of the town in his musical journey.
He also extended thanks to all the police officers, firemen, and tow truck operators who assisted at the accident scene. Bowen concluded his message with a heartfelt note to his fans, "We are very lucky… to be safe and also to live this life! Call your mom."
The "Songs About Trucks" musician continues his tour with upcoming performances scheduled in Portland, Texas, on March 28, and Marble Falls, Texas, on March 29. Additionally, Bowen is set to open for Chase Rice on several dates during the Go Down Singin' International Tour.
Reflecting on his latest studio album, "Flyin'", released last May, Bowen expressed his newfound creative freedom, saying, "I let [the songs] breathe and let them be its own thing a little more than I've ever done with the previous albums."
Critics have praised "Flyin'" for its diverse range, capturing everything from classic country ballads to country rock and classic rock.
While Bowie's fans expressed relief and support in the comments of his Instagram post, Bowen remains committed to sharing his music and gratitude with his audience. As he continues on his tour through mid-September 2025, fans can look forward to more of the energy and passion that he brings to his performances, no matter the obstacles.
