Motley Crue Puts on Hold Las Vegas Residency Due to Vince Neil's Health Concerns

Rock vocalist Vince Neil undergoes a medical procedure, leading to the rescheduling of his anticipated performances with bandmates Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, and John 5.

AceShowbiz - Motley Crue has made the difficult decision to postpone their highly anticipated Las Vegas residency as lead vocalist Vince Neil is set to undergo a "required medical procedure."

Originally scheduled to run from March 28 through April 19 at Dolby Live at Park MGM, the series of 11 shows will now take place from September 12 through October 3, albeit pared down to ten performances.

In addressing his fans, Neil expressed his regret and emphasized the importance of his health, "To all the Crueheads who were looking forward to see us this Spring, I'm truly sorry."

"My health is my top priority so I can bring you the awesome shows you deserve, and I can't wait to return to the stage. Thank you for all the well wishes that keep reaching me. Your support means more than you know."

Bandmates Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, and John 5 shared their well-wishes in a joint statement, "Please join us in wishing Vince a speedy recovery. We are looking forward for him to get well again and to take over Vegas together in September. We can't wait to see you all out there, and thank you for your understanding and support in the meantime."

The rescheduling follows a string of tough luck for Neil. On February 10, his private Learjet was involved in a tragic crash at Scottsdale Airport, Arizona. Neil was not aboard at the time, but the crash resulted in the pilot's death and injuries to Neil's girlfriend Rain Andreani, her friend, and the co-pilot.

A statement from Neil's representative, Worrick Robinson IV, explained, "For reasons unknown at this time, the plane veered from the runway causing it to collide with another parked plane." Investigations are ongoing.

Motley Crue's most recent release, an EP titled "Cancelled," arrived last October and features a cover of the Beastie Boys' classic "Fight for Your Right" along with the single "Dogs Of War."

This EP represented their first new material in five years, marking a significant milestone for the band. Reflecting on their journey, founding bassist Nikki Sixx stated, "For us, the only constant in our career has been that we constantly change and that comes with hills and valleys."

Tickets from the original residency dates will be honored for the new shows. The revised schedule is as follows:

  • September 12, 13, 17, 19, 20, 24, 26, 27
  • October 1, 3
