AceShowbiz - After staying Down Under for nearly a month, Drake is seemingly ready to wrap up his shows in the region. He has just called off the remaining Anita Max Win Tour dates in Australia and New Zealand, citing "a scheduling conflict."
While Drake's representative assured fans that efforts were underway to reschedule the shows, no new dates have been announced so far.
"All tickets for the affected shows will remain valid for the new dates. Refunds will be available for those who prefer, but please note that as these shows are sold out, any refunded tickets will be released for sale," the statement read.
The Anita Max Win Tour which commenced on February 4 in Perth was a platform for Drake to promote his latest project, "Some Sexy Songs 4 U," a collaboration with PartyNextDoor. The abrupt cancellation came after the record debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
Despite the postponements, Drake's generosity echoed throughout his tour, with the rapper dishing out significant sums of money to fans experiencing financial hardships. Instances ranged from upgrading a pregnant fan to a VIP seat and gifting her $30,000 to awarding $20,000 to a fan celebrating their birthday and $25,000 to another fan with a shoutout to Drake's son, Adonis.
In the backdrop of Drake's musical successes, his ongoing feud with fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar also dominated blog posts. Lamar's Grammy wins and subsequent performance at the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show featured his controversial diss track "Not Like Us" has kept the rumor mills buzzing.
In a seemingly response to K. Dot taking a shot at him at the Super Bowl, Drake took the stage at his concert wearing bullet hole-riddled sweatshirt complete with dramatic smoke effect. He later closed his show with a bold statement, "My name is Drake. I started in 2008, I came all the way from Toronto, Canada, now it’s 2025 and Drizzy Drake is very much still alive."
As Drake's camp works on rescheduling the tour dates, fans can expect fresh announcements soon.
