AceShowbiz - Colombian pop superstar Shakira was seen for the first time since her emergency hospitalization on Saturday, February 15. The 48-year-old was spotted leaving the Belmond Hotel in Lima, Peru, on Monday after being treated for abdominal pain.

Looking in high spirits, Shakira flashed her signature smile as she waved to fans and blew a kiss. Dressed casually in a black hoodie and matching pants, she kept a low profile with oversized dark sunglasses.

Shakira reportedly left the hotel to make her way to the National Stadium in Peru to resume her tour. She confirmed the news, much to the relief of fans who had gathered for a vigil outside the hospital.

"We are pleased to inform that today's concert will take place as normal. We want to thank Shakira for all the effort to make this show go ahead," her rep issued a new statement after she was discharged from hospital.

On Sunday, Shakira announced that she had been taken to the emergency room and advised to cancel the concert. "The doctors whose care I am currently under have communicated that I am not in good enough condition to perform this evening," she wrote.

Shakira is currently in the midst of her "Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran" World Tour, which kicked off in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, earlier this month. Her next concert is scheduled for February 20 in Colombia, and she will make stops in other countries such as Chile, Argentina, Mexico, Canada, and the United States. The final date of the tour is set for June 30 in San Francisco.

Shakira recently won the Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album for her album "Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran." She dedicated the award to immigrants and working women in a powerful speech. "I want to dedicate this award to all my immigrant brothers and sisters in this country. You are loved. You are worth it. I will always fight with you," she said.
