Country music star Darius Rucker addresses confusion about his recent move to London, emphasizing that South Carolina in the United States remains his cherished home.

AceShowbiz - Darius Rucker, 58, has clarified his remarks after saying he moved out of the United States. The country music star emphasized that America would always be his home despite currently residing in London.

In an Instagram post on February 1, Rucker stated, "I'm living in London while working on some new music and playing some shows. Always been on the bucket list - but don't get it twisted y'all … nothing will ever replace the Carolinas and it is still home."

Rucker's move to London was initially announced on January 30 when he revealed his plans to perform shows in the UK. He has tour dates in both the UK and the US scheduled for 2025.

Despite his time in London, Rucker remains deeply connected to South Carolina. He previously lived in both Nashville and Charleston, has renovated a historic property in Charleston, and frequently expressed his fondness for his hometown.

"I like the people a lot. My family's here; my brothers and sisters are here," he told Greensboro News. "I still live here because I feel like when I get off my bus, when I get off the plane, I feel like it's home. So I think that's where God wants me to be."

Rucker has always considered himself a "traveling musician," and his current stay in London is just a temporary chapter in his life. He emphasized that his love for the Carolinas remains unwavering and that he will continue to make music and support charitable events in the US.
