AceShowbiz - Ben Affleck was spotted having a heated conversation with law enforcement officers on Tuesday, January 14 as he left his Brentwood home. The encounter occurred two days after FBI agents and deputies from the LA County Sheriff's Department visited his property.
According to TMZ, Affleck seemed agitated as he's reportedly concerned about private security guards in his neighborhood, who allegedly prevented some residents from returning to their homes near the Palisades Fire. There have also been reports of looting in evacuated areas.
A paparazzi video shows Affleck pulling out of his driveway in his BMW and coming to a stop where an LAPD vehicle is parked. The actor gestured emphatically several times and even pulled himself through the window of his car to be heard better. The interaction lasted for about two minutes before Affleck said, "All right, thanks," and retreated into his vehicle.
On Sunday, law enforcement officers were seen outside of Affleck's house investigating an incident involving a private drone that collided with a firefighting aircraft. Affleck's home is not located in an evacuation zone but is near the Pacific Palisades neighborhood, which has been devastated by the blaze.
Affleck's home has so far escaped unscathed from the fires, but he briefly evacuated last week and sought refuge at his ex-wife Jennifer Garner's nearby residence. As the wildfires continued to spread to surrounding areas, he helped Garner and their children evacuate their home.
As of Tuesday afternoon, 24 people have died in the Palisades fire and the Eaton fire, which originated in Altadena, near Pasadena. More than 180,000 people have been forced to evacuate in the face of the massive fires throughout Los Angeles.
