AceShowbiz - Kendra Wilkinson, the former Playboy pinup, took to Instagram to share an empowering message about aging and self-acceptance, revealing new aspects of her life and journey towards mental health.
In a new Instagram post, the 39-year-old, who famously was one of Hugh Hefner's girlfriends and starred on the E! series "The Girls Next Door," stood confidently in a full-length bathroom mirror, donning a white tank top and black leggings.
Reflecting on her past and the changes she's undergone, Wilkinson wrote, "Yes, I've gained weight. Yes, I'm aging. Yes, I'm not that girl I was before (playboy girl) but for once in a long time I feel good and mentally healthy."
As a mother of two - 15-year-old son Hank Jr. and 10-year-old daughter Alijah, whom she shares with ex-husband Hank Baskett - Wilkinson emphasized the importance of her children in her life. "Kids are my everything. Feeling pretty balanced. Working out and cooking a lot more. Golf, work. No housekeeper or nanny," she shared.
Addressing her critics, the soon-to-be 40-year-old posted, "For those of you hating on my new weight, 40 yr old face please know that I'm happy, healthy and at peace in life finally." Wilkinson urged her followers to respect her newfound contentment, stating, "Leave me alone and respect that I'm where I actually want to be finally all together."
Looking towards the future, Wilkinson admitted that she is monitoring her alcohol intake after acknowledging past excesses. Yet, with her 40th birthday approaching in June, she lightheartedly teased, "Drinking too much is definitely drinking too much but you know what's coming up in JUNEā¦. Shots. Love ya."
Previous updates from Wilkinson also reflect her journey towards self-improvement and appreciation for life's simple pleasures. "This week has been about letting go and appreciating life. Setting some realistic goals," she posted. She emphasized resetting her mind, body, and soul, appreciating the value of her family and friends.
