Iain Armitage, who played Woodley's son Ziggy on the hit series, celebrates his TV mom's Broadway debut as the two shared a heartwarming reunion backstage.

AceShowbiz - Shailene Woodley was showered with love from her "Big Little Lies" family as Iain Armitage took to Instagram to congratulate her on her Broadway debut in "Cult of Love".

Armitage's sweet post featured a photo of the co-stars backstage, followed by throwback pictures of the two of them. He expressed his admiration for Woodley, recalling her reassuring advice when he was cast in "Big Little Lies" at age 7.

"She assured me that it would be fun, 'like playing'," Armitage wrote. "She set the tone for me and I'm certain that the joy we had on 'Big Little Lies' is the reason I stayed with acting."

Woodley also shared the post on her Instagram Stories, saying, "My Ziggy came to the show last night. Made my heart so happy."

Armitage praised the play, which explores family dynamics during the holiday season. He expressed his hope that Woodley would continue to return to theater, saying, "I'd be honored to be back."

The heartwarming reunion raised speculation about a potential third season of "Big Little Lies." In November 2023, Nicole Kidman hinted at a possible continuation of the limited series. Armitage also expressed his enthusiasm for returning.

"Cult of Love" tells the story of four siblings who return home for a dramatic Christmas gathering. The production features a star-studded cast, including Euphoria's Barbie Ferreira and veterans such as Mare Winningham and David Rasche.
