The actress, best known for her iconic role as D.J. Tanner on 'Full House' and its Netflix spin-off 'Fuller House', also opens up about selecting Christmas movies for her channel.

AceShowbiz - Candace Cameron Bure embarked on a new chapter in 2022, joining the Great American Family channel as an executive and producing a steady stream of holiday films, including "A Christmas Less Traveled" and "Home Sweet Christmas". In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, she discussed her approach to selecting Christmas projects.

"I read so many Christmas scripts," Bure said. "I'm looking for something that feels fresh to me and will resonate with the audience." She emphasizes the importance of faith in GAF's films, stating that she seeks stories that "really touch the heart and have more purpose to them than just the magic of Christmas."

Despite initially announcing a project with Cameron Mathison, Bure ultimately withdrew, realizing it wasn't "the best movie that we could do." They later settled on "Home Sweet Christmas", which played to their longstanding friendship.

Bure's prolificacy extends beyond Christmas films. She plans to shoot four to five additional movies in 2025. "It's what I love doing," she said.

Regarding her controversial interview about GAF's emphasis on traditional marriage, Bure expressed frustration at being misunderstood. "We are a relatively new channel," she explained. "We're not afraid to talk about God and God's hand in our lives instead of fate or providence."

Despite the controversy, Bure remains close with her "Full House" cast mates. "We haven't had any discussions of bringing back a new version of 'Full House'," she said. " 'Fuller House' was a great success for Netflix, but I don't think there's going to be another iteration... If they ever wanted to make it, I think we would all be on board for it."

Candace Cameron Bure's unwavering dedication to quality entertainment and her commitment to her faith continue to make her a force in the entertainment industry, solidifying her status as both the "Queen of Christmas" and a respected figure in the acting world.
