AceShowbiz - Bill Clinton has left the hospital one day after a fever led to his admission for flu treatment. The former U.S. president, 78, was treated at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and discharged on Tuesday, December 24.
Clinton's deputy chief of staff, Angel Ureña, shared the update on X (formerly known as Twitter), expressing the family's gratitude for the exceptional care provided and the well-wishes received. Ureña stated, "He sends his warmest wishes for a happy and healthy holiday season to all."
Upbeat despite his health scare, Clinton was first taken in for "testing and observation" when he developed a fever. According to NBC News, the situation was "not urgent" and the former president "will be fine."
Over his long and active post-presidential life, Clinton has faced several health issues. He previously had a quadruple bypass heart surgery in 2004 and another heart procedure in 2010 in which stents were placed in his arteries to manage severe heart disease. In 2021, he was hospitalized for six days due to a urological infection that spread to his bloodstream.
Despite these setbacks, Clinton has remained active, both in his personal and public life. Bill Clinton's release from the hospital and his subsequent recuperation at home ensure that he will be able to enjoy the festive season with his family.
