AceShowbiz - DaBaby has continued his tradition to give back to his city before Christmas. The "Red Light Green Light" rapper was showered with praise by many for hosting his annual giveaway in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Recently, the 33-year-old hip-hop artist made an appearance at Garinger High School, where his annual Christmas giveaway took place. He was joined by his mother Linda, who helped him make sure that the event ran smoothly.
In a video from the event that made its rounds on Instagram on Tuesday, December 24, it could be seen that Charlotte residents were lining up outside the venue, waiting for their turns to enter. Meanwhile, many others had already picked up toys, bikes, footballs and shoes for their Christmas gifts.
The short clip also documented DaBaby's mom Linda, who rocked a Santa Claus hat, talking about her beloved son in an interview. While beaming with happiness, she proudly said, "It's just in his heart. It's in his heart. We just love to try to give back and bring some kind of sunshine and happiness to everyone."
The footage further showed DaBaby interacting with a number of children. The rapper, who was sporting a colorful "MUSIC" knitted vest, was seen apparently trying to help them find the best gifts. At one point, he was filmed picking up something before walking towards the kids.
