Shortly after sharing the 30-second video to tease her upcoming performance, the 'Texas Hold 'Em' hitmaker is trolled for not actually playing the instrument in the clip.

AceShowbiz - Beyonce Knowles found herself in hot water after teasing her upcoming performance. The "Texas Hold 'Em" hitmaker sparked chatter for allegedly pretending to play a banjo in a new teaser for her NFL Halftime Show.

On Tuesday, December 24, the 43-year-old superstar became a hot topic on X, formerly known as Twitter, after she released the new teaser video. Social media users voiced their opinions on her apparently faking to play the stringed instrument, which comes with a thin membrane stretched over a frame or cavity to form a resonator.

In the replies section of the footage, one X user commented, "Pretending to play the banjo this is so embarrassing." Comparing Beyonce to fellow superstar Taylor Swift, another uploaded a GIF of the "All Too Well" hitmaker showing off her skills in playing the instrument. The user then wrote, "NOT HER PRETENDING TO PLAY THE BANJO LMAOOOOO. She can play it fr tho cuz she acc has talent."

A third, in the meantime, simply penned, "Really Beyonce………a banjo….." A fourth argued, "It looks like she saw a benjo for the very first time." A fifth stated, "Not her not actually playing the chords of the song," adding a skeleton emoji. A sixth pointed out, "She's not fooling anyone. We know she can't play that instrument."

The comments came shortly after Queen Bey teased her forthcoming performance during the NFL Halftime Show, which will be held on Christmas. Making use of her Instagram page, she dropped the teaser video that playfully nods to Netflix's notorious buffering issues.

In the 30-second clip, Beyonce donned her signature sparkly attire and large hat. She strummed her banjo to the tune of her hit country song "Texas Hold 'Em" before the video humorously stalls, mirroring past glitches viewers often encountered during Netflix's live events.

Along with the short footage, Beyonce wrote in the caption, "I'm sending you big joy and love on this Cowboy Christmas Eve. I'll see y'all tomorrow, in my city HTX," amplifying the excitement surrounding the special halftime show.
