AceShowbiz - Lily Allen and her husband, David Harbour, have been hit with persistent rumors of marital crisis following her recent revelations of mental health challenges. The 39-year-old singer has admitted to "not being in a great place mentally," which has impacted her eating habits. She also has been attending therapy to navigate personal struggles after relocating with her two daughters to New York.
Whispers of trouble in Allen's marriage initially surfaced last year when she unfollowed Harbour, 49, on social media. Since then, she has dropped subtle hints about difficulties in her home life. In a recent podcast episode, Allen expressed boredom with men and explained that her mother's boyfriend has been a "pillar of support."
Adding fuel to the speculation, Allen has been photographed without her wedding ring. Video clips of her podcast also show her left hand bare, missing the diamond ring "Stranger Things" actor Harbour gave her four years ago.
Allen's mental health struggles have also raised concerns about their relationship. She has admitted to not feeling hungry and having a disconnect between her body and brain, suggesting an eating disorder.
In the past, Allen has credited the COVID-19 pandemic for strengthening her bond with Harbour. The couple married in 2020 during the pandemic's initial wave. However, recent events have cast doubt on the stability of their union.
Harbour, who has taken on the role of stepfather to Allen's daughters, previously expressed his commitment to the girls. "Making that kind of commitment to them was a huge thing for me," he said.
Lily Allen shares daughters Ethel Mary, 13, and Marnie Rose, 11, with her first husband, Sam Cooper. Neither Allen nor Harbour make any comment on the rumors.
