Supermodel and entrepreneur Gigi Hadid has revealed that rodents have invaded her New York City apartment, forcing her to renovate an outdoor space to address the issue.

AceShowbiz - Gigi Hadid is facing a common New York City problem: rats. In a recent interview with Architectural Digest, the 29-year-old supermodel disclosed that her outdoor space in the city is undergoing renovations due to a rodent issue. "Some of the original designs of the space didn't help that problem," she explained.

Despite the unwelcome guests, Hadid is optimistic about the updates being made. "I'm looking forward to" having a rat-free outdoor space, she said. Her rat problem is not unique; New York City has an estimated three million rats, and the city has even appointed an official "rat czar" to combat the growing rodent population.

Interior-wise, Hadid's apartment is safe from pests. She spends time between New York and Pennsylvania, ensuring both residences reflect her personality. Her design style has evolved over the years, mirroring her fashion sense. "I had that want to express myself through tchotchkes and things, but I didn't have the experience or means to be more creative," she recalled. "Once I got to a place where I could buy my first apartment, that was also the time in my (fashion) style where I was just like, '**** it; I get to wake up every day and express myself.'"

Hadid shared that her favorite rooms are the kitchen, which she prefers to be her "living room," and an art room she designed with her daughter, Khai. The art room fosters creativity and imagination, allowing them to enjoy projects like painting, clay work, and more.
