Upon graduating, she moved to Los Angeles and landed the title role in the cult classic film "Nurse Sherri." Her career soared as she appeared in numerous television shows, including "Falcon Crest," where she portrayed Erin Jones in 22 episodes, and "The New Gidget," where she played Larue Wilson. Notably, she played these recurring characters simultaneously.
Jacobson's television credits also include appearances on "Star Trek: The Next Generation", "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine", "Hung", "Newhart", "Castle" and "Who's the Boss?". Caryn Richman, her co-star in "The New Gidget", remarked on Jacobson's extraordinary comedic timing and infectious enthusiasm, which made their time on set joyous.
