Chase Stoke has cheeky remarks after 'Outer Banks' executive producer Jonas Pate cited his age as the reason behind the show not being picked up after season 5.

AceShowbiz - Chase Stokes playfully reacted to rumors that his age was a reason for the impending conclusion of the Netflix series "Outer Banks."

In a recent interview with Port City Daily, "Outer Banks" creator Jonas Pate jokingly stated that the show was ending after season 5 because they didn't want to continue with Stokes turning 40. However, the 32-year-old actor took the comment in stride, sharing humorous Instagram photos with the caption, "It looks like I'm turning 40."

Stokes has been a fan favorite since the series premiered in 2020, playing the role of John B. He has previously expressed his gratitude for the impact "Outer Banks" has had on his life, calling it a "big, beautiful chapter."

Although the series is coming to an end, Stokes is excited for future opportunities. "I'm equally as excited for the opportunities that I can't even talk about yet," he said.

"Outer Banks" has also been a career highlight for Madelyn Cline, who plays Stokes' onscreen love interest Sarah. The two former co-stars dated offscreen from 2020 to 2021 before splitting up.

Stokes is now in a relationship with country music star Kelsea Ballerini while Cline has been romantically linked to several celebrities, including Zack Bia, Jackson Guthy, and Pete Davidson.

The Netflix series has been a breakout hit since its debut, with its cast members' real-life romances captivating fans. Despite the show's impending conclusion, Stokes and his co-stars are eager to continue their acting journeys and explore new creative avenues.
