They shared that seven years ago, a photo of teenagers on a beach during a power outage sparked the inspiration for the series. From that beginning, they envisioned a five-season journey of adventure, treasure hunting, and friendship.
Season 4 part 1 debuted at No. 1 in Netflix's global top 10 English TV chart, where it has remained for three weeks. The back half of season 4 is set to release on November 7. The creators noted that season 4 was the "longest and hardest" but also "most rewarding" to produce, featuring a "feature length" finale that they consider their "best, most powerful episode."
