Can the promise of a hefty paycheck lure Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie back to the silver screen together, despite their tumultuous history? Producer Danny Rossner sure hopes so.

AceShowbiz - In what could be the most sensational reunion in Hollywood history, producer Danny Rossner is extending a lucrative offer to ex-couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

The proposed project, a non-fiction love story adaptation titled "The Hotel Martinez," promises to delve into a passionate romance set against the backdrop of World War II. If the stars align, this film could see "Brangelina" back together on-screen, embodying the roles of Emmanuel Martinez and his alluring mistress, Emma Digard.

Rossner is offering a staggering $60 million to bring Pitt, 60, and Jolie, 49, on board - a significant mark-up from their usual asking prices. "Right now, I think, Brad Pitt's in the $20 to $25 million range [per movie] and Angelina Jolie is in the $15 million range," Rossner explained. He added that he is willing to extend offers "in the 50-percent range above their going rate," which translates to nearly $37.5 million for Pitt and $22 million for Jolie.

Of course, there's a catch: the pair would need to navigate filming intimate scenes despite their acrimonious split and bitter divorce proceedings.

Acknowledging the potential challenge, Rossner noted that the screenplay could be adjusted if necessary, though the love scenes are crucial for character development. "It's not salacious but there are very heavy love scenes because Martinez felt repressed and held it all in him. When he was finally able to execute, it got pretty wild," he explained.

Pitt and Jolie's history is as storied as some of their films. The couple met on the set of "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" in 2004, a film that became one of the top-grossing movies of 2005. They married in 2014 and share six children. However, their marriage took a hit in 2016 amidst allegations of Pitt's drunken and abusive behavior, which were investigated but did not lead to charges.

Since their separation, Jolie has not had a significant relationship while Pitt has been linked to Ines De Ramon. The couple's children have opted to live with their mother and become estranged from Pitt with some of them dropping his last name.

Rossner remains undeterred by the couple's personal history. "If we can have a ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon, [Pitt and Jolie] can put their differences aside and come together to build a bridge and make this movie," he said optimistically, adding that bringing Brangelina back together would guarantee box office success. "There's not even a second place. It's a slam dunk with them," Rossner confidently asserted.

Whether the promise of a $60 million paycheck is enough to overcome past grievances remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: the world would be captivated by Hollywood's most famous ex-couple reuniting on screen.
