AceShowbiz - Chuck Norris, 84, announced the sad news of his mother Wilma Norris Knight's passing on Instagram on December 6, sharing heartfelt memories in a carousel of photos that captured their bond over the years.
"Our mother was a woman of unwavering faith, a beacon of light in our lives, and her love reflected God's grace," Norris wrote in his emotional caption. "She had a remarkable way of making everyone feel special, often putting the needs of others before her own."
Wilma had a difficult early life, having been raised in poverty and given away as a ward of the state at the age of eight. However, despite facing adversity, she displayed incredible perseverance and faith throughout her life. She endured the loss of loved ones, battled cancer multiple times, and underwent numerous surgeries.
"Mom, I don't know what's more difficult to believe: that you are 100 years old or that you have a son who is 81 years old!" Norris wrote in a previous post celebrating her 100th birthday. "Regardless, I'm so grateful you are my mom, and so is brother Aaron."
Norris also shared how his mother had a profound impact on his life, instilling in him the values of kindness and compassion, "From my earliest memories, she taught me the importance of kindness and compassion. I am so thankful for the countless lessons she shared, the prayers she lifted for us, and the way she embodied the love of Christ every day."
In 2012, Wilma released her autobiography titled "Acts of Kindness: My Story," sharing anecdotes from her life and her son's childhood. She promoted the book on Mike Huckabee's FOX News show.
Chuck Norris concluded his tribute with a poignant message, "We love you, Mom. Until we meet again."
