AceShowbiz - In a recent BBC interview, Sean Ono Lennon expressed his belief that his mother, Yoko Ono, has "never moved on" from her relationship with his father, John Lennon. This revelation came as he discussed his work on the new Mind Games box set, which features a collection of materials related to the album released by his father in 1973.
Sean explained that even during the couple's separation, known as "The Lost Weekend," they maintained constant communication and a deep connection. "All his stuff was still in the apartment with my mum. It's not like they had a real separation," he said.
He further noted the symbolism on the Mind Games album cover, which depicts Yoko as a "monumental" figure against the backdrop of John's diminutive presence. "I think it's clear what his view of my mum was in his life. She was monumental, obviously. And the whole album is about her," Sean added.
Beyond the album, Sean believes that Ono's unwavering dedication to his father's legacy is a testament to their unbreakable bond. "She never remarried and dedicated her life to honoring and preserving his legacy," he said.
Sean's insights into his parents' relationship highlight the enduring impact of their love. Despite the challenges and separations they faced, their connection remained strong, inspiring and shaping their lives and those of their son.
