Brownlee, who became a mom at 19 through an emergency C-section, described the experience as surreal. "I heard [my baby] cry and then I cried because I couldn't believe that I had my own baby," she told People. The feeling of holding her newborn, River, for the first time was described as “mad” and “just like [she] imagined.”

She and her partner, whose identity remains private, have been together since she was 16.
