AceShowbiz - Garth Brooks apparently was relieved upon learning that Jimmy Kimmel did not ask him about his scandal. The "That's What Cowboys Do" singer avoided questions about the sexual assault allegation against him in a recent interview with the TV host.
The 62-year-old country music star made an appearance in the Monday, November 25 episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live!". In the beginning of the episode, Jimmy introduced the singer as "the biggest selling solo artist of all time."
As Garth entered the studio, Jimmy stood up to approach the singer. Garth opened his arms wide before sharing a friendly hug with Jimmy. Both of them tapped each other on the back several times while having a short conversation. Garth then greeted the audience members, who were clapping their hands. At one point, he took off his hat and placed his hand on his chest.
Jimmy opened the chat by gushing over Garth, saying that he "can't think of a better guest for Thanksgiving week because you are as American as Americans get, and I mean that in a good way." Jimmy exclaimed, "You're a baseball player, you're a country music artist, you're from Oklahoma," prompting the crowd to cheer.
Jimmy went on to ask Garth about his plans for Thanksgiving. Making a reference to his singer wife Trisha Yearwood, Garth shared, "She does what we call a misfit Thanksgiving. Miss Yearwood does because we have a lot of people in that town that's in for the industry only their families are somewhere else so they're alone on Thanksgiving. So she opens up her doors [for] about 20 or 25 people this Thanksgiving."
During the fun chat, Jimmy also asked Garth about his family's Christmas tradition, his upcoming book titled "The Anthology Part IV: Going Home", which will be released in December, and his first dinner with Trisha as well as his three daughters. However, the host did not ask any questions related to the legal problem that Garth has been facing.
In early October, Garth and Trisha's former makeup artist/hair stylist filed a lawsuit against him, accusing him of sexual assault. According to the ex-employee, who was identified as Jane Roe, he sexually assaulted her in a hotel room during their 2019 trip to Los Angeles. In response, Garth submitted legal documents in an attempt to block her impending suit.
