AceShowbiz - Kelly Clarkson continues to impress with her "Kellyoke" covers. On Monday (Nov. 25), she took on Chappell Roan's hit "Pink Pony Club" while dressed in a pink sweater dress. Backed by her band My Band Y'all, Clarkson passionately belted the lyrics, "I'm gonna keep on dancing down in West Hollywood/ I'm gonna keep on dancing at the Pink Pony Club."
After the performance, Clarkson expressed her excitement for Roan, who has been nominated for six Grammys. "So amazing," she remarked. Roan is a contender for best new artist, and her album "Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess" is in the running for album of the year and best pop vocal album. Its breakout single, "Good Luck, Babe!," has received nods for song of the year, record of the year, and best pop solo performance.
Next month, Clarkson will return to host NBC's annual "Christmas in Rockefeller Center" telecast on Dec. 4, where she will also perform festive hits.
Earlier, on Wednesday (Sept. 26), Clarkson covered another of Roan's songs, "Coffee." Reflecting Roan's melancholic style, she sang, "If I didn't love you, it would be fine/ I'll meet you for coffee, only for coffee/ Nowhere else is safe, every place leads back to your place."
