Shaboozey's hit song, a blend of rap and country, has achieved a historic milestone, surpassing 'Old Town Road', the previous record held by Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus.

AceShowbiz - Shaboozey's "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" has notched an impressive record on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, matching a feat previously held by Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road" (featuring Billy Ray Cyrus). The song has spent 19 weeks at No. 1, tying it as the longest-reigning song in the chart's 66-year history.

To commemorate the achievement, the 29-year-old star (born Collins Obinna Chibueze) expressed his gratitude in a video with Billboard. "I just wanted to say thank you to the fans, to everybody. We made history," he said. "It's freakin' incredible. It's freakin' unbelievable. Thank you guys so much."

Shaboozey's "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" debuted at No. 1 on the Hot 100 in July and has also dominated other charts, including Hot Country Songs, Country Airplay, Pop Airplay, and Adult Pop Airplay.

The song's success stems from its unique blend of genres, which draws inspiration from Shaboozey's love of both hip-hop and country music. "Me being from Virginia, me loving the style and the way of life and the things they talked about ... it all seemed very peaceful," he explained in a Billboard cover story. "It seemed like I could be real. I found country music could teach people that the little things in life are where the value is."

The song's radio airplay, streaming, and sales figures have remained strong throughout its 19-week reign, helped by its inclusion in a medley performance by Shaboozey at the 58th Annual Country Music Association (CMA) Awards.
