The 22-year-old Grammy Award-winning artist has capped off an extraordinary year with a prestigious accolade, being named Apple Music’s 2024 Artist of the Year.

AceShowbiz - Billie Eilish has been crowned Apple Music's 2024 Artist of the Year, a recognition that celebrates her extraordinary impact throughout the year. The nine-time Grammy winner was named the inaugural Artist of the Year in 2019, making her the first artist to receive the honor twice.

Eilish's rise to stardom has been meteoric. She kicked off 2024 with two Grammy wins for her track "What Was I Made For?" from the film "Barbie". Her third studio album "Hit Me Hard and Soft", released in May, soared to No. 1 on Apple Music's all-genre albums chart in 138 countries worldwide. The album, which features hits like "Lunch" and "Birds of a Feather", has also been nominated for seven Grammys in 2025, including Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album.

Rachel Newman, Apple Music's senior director of content and editorial, praised Eilish's artistry and cultural impact. "From the moment we first heard 'Ocean Eyes' nearly a decade ago, we've been fans and champions of Billie's work," Newman said. "She's blossomed as bravely and honestly as she has - on her own terms, in her own way."

Eilish expressed her gratitude for the recognition. "Since day one, Apple Music has supported my music and artistry, and I am both honored and humbled to receive this recognition again this many years into my career," she said.

Apple Music has organized a series of special events to celebrate Eilish's achievement, including streaming events and a cover feature on the platform's "Today's Hits" playlist.
