AceShowbiz - Elon Musk couldn't resist taking a jab at Ellen DeGeneres after news broke that she had left the United States and relocated to the United Kingdom. On Thursday, the Tesla CEO shared an ambiguous post on his social media platform X (formerly Twitter), alluding to a conspiracy theory linking DeGeneres to Sean "P. Diddy" Combs.
DeGeneres' relocation to a Cotswolds abode, purchased just before the election, was reportedly motivated by a desire to "get the hell out" of the country following Trump's victory, according to sources.
Musk's post was met with a flurry of comments from X users who often share right-wing content and conspiracy theories. Musk's alleged close ties to Diddy, whom he described as a "good friend," have also come under scrutiny.
In an awkward 2018 interview that resurfaced online, DeGeneres hinted at Diddy's infamous "Freak Off" parties, which he has denied any wrongdoing in connection with.
Meanwhile, DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi have begun exploring their new surroundings in rural England, attending a local pub and mingling with other celebrities also residing in the Cotswolds, including David Beckham and Victoria Beckham (Victoria Adams) as well as Kate Moss.
Despite the official reason for their move being the election results, DeGeneres has also faced backlash over allegations of fostering a toxic workplace atmosphere on her former daytime talk show.
The couple's decision to sell their Montecito mansion and leave the U.S. has drawn attention to the growing number of celebrities considering or making similar moves in response to political shifts in the country. As DeGeneres embarks on this new chapter outside of the U.S., she joins a growing list of fellow celebrities seeking a change of scenery in the wake of political developments.
