AceShowbiz - Country star Darryl Worley, 60, took to Facebook on Sunday, November 17 to reveal that his 16-year-old daughter Savannah had been involved in a "bad wreck" in Nashville. Savannah sustained a broken leg, bruises and lacerations and was airlifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center.
Worley shared the news on social media and asked his fans to pray for Savannah and the other driver. He wrote, "Please pray for her and pray I can get home to be with my baby girl and Kimberly! Also pray for the lady in the other car!"
The next day, Worley provided an update on Savannah's condition, revealing that she was undergoing surgery to repair her broken leg. He expressed gratitude for the outpouring of love and support and asked for continued prayers.
On Tuesday, November 19, Worley shared a photo of Savannah smiling in her hospital bed after her surgery. He wrote, "It may be raining today but my sunshine is awake with a little smile on her face!! It's been a rough few days but we know God is in control and shielded Savannah in all of this!!" He added that while he was unsure when Savannah would be able to go home, her condition had improved significantly.
According to DailyMail.com, the driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash is a woman who was driving to work at the time. She is currently hospitalized in serious, but stable condition. The daughter of the driver stated that it was just an accident and that the families were in touch.
Worley's family has faced a series of challenging incidents in the past year. Their barn burned down in January, though the animals escaped unharmed, and Worley's wife Kimberly underwent surgery after breaking her arm in a car accident in August.
Worley is a Grammy-nominated country singer known for hits such as "I Miss My Friend" and "Have You Forgotten?". He has released six studio albums and has notched 18 songs on the Billboard Hot Country Charts.
