Eighteen-year-old Florida rapper Jaydes faces an attempted murder charge as he is held in jail without bond after allegedly stabbing a woman who rejected his advances.

AceShowbiz - Jayden Yen Dumont, an underground rapper known professionally as Jaydes, was arrested on November 10 in Oakland Park, Florida. The 18-year-old Broward County rapper is accused of attempted premeditated murder.
According to an affidavit obtained by Pitchfork, the alleged attack occurred on November 2 in an apartment in Tamarac, Florida. Officers from the Broward Sheriff's Office responded to a 9-1-1 call and found the alleged victim with stab wounds to her neck and forearm. She was taken to a pediatric emergency room for treatment.
The victim provided a sworn statement to police, stating that Jaydes sent her a text message inviting her to his apartment. When she arrived, he allegedly tried to kiss her twice. After she pushed him away and rejected his advances, he allegedly returned with a box cutter and scissors and stabbed her.
Jaydes is currently being held without bond in a Broward County jail. A judge has ordered a mental health evaluation and banned him from contacting his alleged victim.
Jaydes' arrest follows several days of evading law enforcement. His image, depicting a bloodied nose and closed eyes, has circulated on social media, drawing significant attention.
Jaydes is known for his unique blend of R&B, hip-hop, and electronica. His self-produced EPs, such as "Romanticism Heartpacing," have garnered a dedicated fanbase. However, his recent arrest has cast uncertainty over his career.
