The 'Backdoor' rapper, who was arrested in Miami in October, has been transferred to a Los Angeles prison ahead of his court appearance on Thursday, November 14.

AceShowbiz - Lil Durk maintains his innocence amid his latest legal issue. The rapper, whose real name is Durk Devontay Banks, has pleaded not guilty to murder-for-hire charges during a court appearance on Thursday, November 14.

The former Def Jam artist was arraigned on Thursday on charges accusing him of hiring people to kill a rival rapper. He appeared in federal court in Los Angeles for his arraignment, where he entered a not guilty plea.

A judge ordered the rapper jailed without bond at the federal lockup in downtown Los Angeles. His trial has been set for January 7, 2025 in Los Angeles. There will be additional pre-trial hearings in November and December, according to officials.

Lil Durk was arrested in Broward County, Florida on October 24. He is accused of financially assisting individuals in an attempt to murder his nemesis Quando Rondo, which allegedly resulted in the death of Quando's cousin Lul Pab.

Arrest records and prosecutors allege that Durk hired five men to take part in the shooting in exchange for money and "lucrative music opportunities" to anyone who would murder Quando. The five man, Kavon Grant, Deandre Wilson, Keith Jones, David Lindsey and Asa Houston, all affiliates of Durk's Only the Family record label were arrested on October 23 and have been indicted on charges including conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire, committing murder-for-hire involving a death, and the use of a machine gun in a violent crime resulting in death.

Initially charged with conspiracy, Durk then faces additional counts of using interstate facilities to commit murder-for-hire resulting in death, and using, carrying, and discharging firearms and a machine gun in furtherance of a crime of violence resulting in death. Ahead of his first hearing on Thursday, Durk was transferred from Broward County, Florida to California.
